As a Fil-AM, and a US Navy Military, being all over 7th fleet [Asia] u may pass for a mixed Filipina. U look more Thai/Cambo. I'm surprised u use the word Asian/Asiatica, in which I encounter most Mexicans use the word chino meaning chinese. Not every Asian is Chinese, which shows a little ignorance, SMH. Hi folks. I am going to answer the question with a little bit of an angle. I hope you understand. This is an anomaly. When it comes to the Mexican American community, over 95 percent of them speak Spanish. It does not matter what generation they belong. Again, a vast majority of them speak Spanish. It is Spanish is what defines the Hispanic people or in this case a "Mexican". Everything else comes second. It will be awkward if they speak English outside the classroom on a daily basis. They also enjoy benefits those other immigrants do not. So, they remain the slowest of learning English. Why? - Because this free nation enables Hispanics to function with only a little degree in English. The job opportunities for Spanish speakers are enormous here so it's not like they are losing something big. Do you possibly think English is widely transferred from one generation to the other without schooling? Only a fraction of them are proficient in English (11.6 million). Many of them are going to hold jobs in which everyone thinks what a Mexican immigrant would have. In the United States, Hispanics have a lot of goodies a lot of sympathetic politicians so that is why they come. They come for other reasons but this one is the main principle. There are plenty of crooked employers who will hire them as well. It is rare to find a pocho in the United States. Nevertheless, they know just about their home nations than the United States since traveling is a breeze. As a result, Hispanics are more "foreigner" than American. Just listen to this question. How many people you know go back six or seven generations in the same land? There are no way people are going to find one that does. Hispanic culture is actually a counter-culture that is a response to the prevalence of Americanism. They may be Americans on paper through citizenship, but they share everything in common from their forebears in a social cultural sense. Again, it is very rare that Hispanic people will encounter a pocho in their lifetime. It is a tempest in a teacup; a flash of light from a shard of glass. Oh, I can go on, but this where my comment ends and the reader's response begin. This is my statement. Feel free to give a thumbs up or disagree with me. I didn't get through everything because it will be thousands of more words to type but thank you. But before you exit. For UA-cam viewers watching this commentary (who know English), there are few things about Mexican Americans you should learn and take to heart: Their political allegiance is to Mexico. The polity is what counts and not the political parties in it. Even the grandchildren of immigrants subscribe to it. When not focusing on life in general, they love to talk about how great Mexico is and so forth. They can never have an ill word to say. In a related matter, Mexican Americans are very proud of Mexico but have very little gratitude to offer to the United States. There is a reason for that. If anyone studies the history of American-Mexican relations (too long to discuss here) there is nothing to be exuberant or satisfied. Mexicans risk their lives and reputation to cross the border since Mexico cannot produce enough jobs to sustain the economy; it is no doubt they supported their families. Nevertheless, they have no sense of thanksgiving to have for the United States. For Mexican Americans, their favorite hero is Pancho Villa, and not George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, or General Eisenhower. He had his own reasons to attack, but he was declared a national enemy by the United States' government and tried to capture him. The mission failed and soon abandoned it to fight Imperial Germany. However, his endurance and fearlessness had won the respect for Mexicans on both sides of the border. The population of Mexican Americans who are third generation and over (grandchildren of immigrants) are minuscule. Even most contemporary Hispanic Americans do not remember recalling one in their lives. The first embarkation of Mexicans of what would be the United States is in Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado. They still speak the archaic Spanish dialect that is independent of Mexican Spanish. There are also small, Texan border towns that have Mexican Americans living there for over 150 years. To outsiders, Mexican Americans are always depicted as “brown people.” This is attributed to being an Indian or mestizo. Nonetheless there are people who have very fair skin but please do not call them white people. If anyone is interested why it is because they ethnicity origins can be traced all the way to Spain. The principle ethnic groups are Andalusian, Castilian, and Extremaduran. Ironically these people cannot identify with either of these groups. There is virtually no one who is a native English speaker. Places such as Los Angeles, Phoenix, Rio Grande Valley, San Diego, to name a few were not exempt. Even most contemporary Hispanic Americans do not ever recall who is like that. When they were children (now adults), they did not know a friend, relative, or neighbor who was over eighteen and knew English well. Virtually every student who entered Head Start, kindergarten, first grade, second grade (whatever) did so and not speak a word of English. To dove tail this to the next statement … The majority of children attend public schools. Like so many of those schools, they are overcrowded, under resourced, politicized, and was a mostly monocultural population. The ESL has students who have been in the special programs for years because the students did not have the strong motivation or understanding of why English is important. Eventually the students were removed because the school system said "that is enough." To be fair, they can speak on their own as far as informal situations is concern such as impromptu interpreters for parents. However, for careers such as police, firefighters, elected officials, the Marines, etc... their English is still substandard and just relegate themselves to jobs that involved Spanish-speaking people. For those who succeeded, it was done to obtain a privilege the immigrant community could not provide. They were ready to be part of the mainstream of America (most of them). Whether they are proficient are not, Mexican Americans mostly speak English in the school grounds. The school system never encouraged them to speak the language as a preference which is the reason why the ESL results are always mixed. The purpose of ESL was to prepare students in an English-as-a medium classroom session. Family and cultural dictums were strictly off limits. Whatever language was spoken outside the campus was their business and speaking English was a reserved choice for sufficient reasons. People over forty have fewer English speakers. If they are people who speak English, there is a certainty that these people are ex-military or ex-government. Mexican Americans are keenly sensitive about any mention of the English language topic. Even if they are mentioned as a collective unit; to them, it is an allusion to their parents, uncles, aunts, or cousins that failed to learn English.

at 11:27 I think its important to translate what the person said accurately. He didn't say "send the police" he said "send ICE" Translating it as you did gives a very different context. "Send ICE" shows there is discrimination and injustice for workers who work but end up not getting paid and instead get a threat if they protest for their earned wage.

In the indigenous people of America USA, The black Americans are the indigenous people the true indigenous people of America and that’s a fact America change their nationality so many times to cover up they were from Africa. We are not from Africa. Black people are the original people on the planet and that’s a fact Mexican people, and people of North America that resemble Asian came from Chinese people in Spanish Europeans. They are not Native or aborigine to America originally Why do you think Mexicans and North Americans that resemble Mexicans when they check their bloodline and they do DNA test they have so much European Indo Europeans. Don’t come from America and Chinese people don’t either.

  • @billeejean7324

If you are Mexican you are related to Chinese especially if you are American. The history is known that they took Chinese women and decided to name them Native Americans. That’s how Mexican people are created from Europeans and Chinese people and when I say Europeans, I’m saying European Spanish people.

Hosea Chapter 7 8 Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned. 9 Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth [it] not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not. BECAUSE OF RACE MIXING THEY LOST THEIR ORIGINAL LOOKS, ALL THE NATIVES ARE ISRAELITES, ALSO KNOWN AS NEGROS.

A lot of Latinos aint even "native". It's identity politics from the neoliberal crowd AND alt-right that is making this world an unsafe place.... I'm "Filipino" and I've been called Ching Chong, chink, gook by Latinos/Mexicans in Texas AND California. And these racist events I experienced from Latinos/Mexicans happened in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2019, 2023,2024. So, no, it's not "the past". I've also been called n**ger by, you guessed it, Latinos/Mexicans. In 2019-2024... I HAVE ALSO BEEN DENIED PROMOTIONS AND JOBS BECAUSE OF CULTURAL NEPOTISM COMING FROM "MEXICAN" EMPLOYERS. I am only sharing this because I feel like most people think that anti-Asian racism is "the past" or not really as severe. But majority of my childhood AND adulthood in California was like this. It made me suicidal to a point. I'm sharing my story on Instagram: annetteurduja PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD. PS: in the actual safe spaces that I found in "Mexican/latino" communities, people called me a PAISA which is cool.

Very interesting. The reason I have not gotten one of these reports is because I heard that when you submit a sample of your DNA to these companies your DNS becomes their property do you lose ownership of your own DNA. I am very curious about my own DNA. I suspect that I am probably about half English and half German with a few other things mixed in. I believe both my mother and my father each have English and German heritage. I was told that my maternal great grandfather was 1/4 Spanish. My grandmother said that he was owner if a quicksilver mine in Mexico and that he spent a lot of time away from home and in Mexico but he got run out of Mexico she thinks by Pancho Villa. He did speak Spanish and wanted to teach his children but his wife forbade it.
